Biography

After creating the Lupin movie, Miyazaki was developing an anime in your own studio. In 1982 the manga Kaze no Tani no Naushika (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind) first appeared in the journal Animage as a result of one of those ideas. This work gives a boost to his career, showing a different style, from children to the prevailing comic at the time.
had previously only released a pair of sleeves, including Shuna no Taby. While Miyazaki was unemployed, went to work on a manga, which was well received by the readers and was offered the opportunity to make an animated version of Nausicaä. This offer was given the opportunity to finally make his long-awaited project to create a study. Along with Takahata in 1985 opened his own animation studio, Studio Ghibli.
Work

Most of his work has been focused on children, to the point of being called the Japanese Disney. " His work addresses issues of content, with antiwar messages, or addressing complex issues such as man and nature, individualism or liability, which has earned public recognition from the West and specialists.
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is considered the first film by Studio Ghibli. He assumed his first big hit in Japan and the creation of such a study. Princess Mononoke
marked her international acclaim because it was one of the first films of the study to be released internationally. Works prior to this, like My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Porco Rosso had some international interest.
Spirited Away received the Golden Bear at the Berlinale 2002, the Oscar for best animated film in 2002 and the recognition of his career in the International Film Festival in Venice.
Howl's Moving Castle was nominated for an Oscar in 2005 for best animated film.
With Ponyo back to get the critical acclaim and enters among the twenty candidates for the 2009 Oscars in the category of Best Animated Film.
